Henrik Ibsen
John Gabriel Borkman

Overview
THEATRE @MEGARON UNDERGROUND
Yannis Houvardas directs the third Ibsen of his 45-year-long career, in a new translation, against what he considers an ideal background to the play, the Megaron Understage.
In the great Norwegian playwright’s stunning poetic dystopia, we witness the ruthless fighting among the members of the older generation for supremacy over the young. Melodrama, horror movie, anarchic realism, dark comedy, grotesque irony—in other words, Ibsen’s multidimensional palette producing a symbolic dream world.
