DAYS OF POETRY
If by poetry we mean the search for another reality, behind and beyond what is explicitly communicated, then Manos Hadjidakis must be considered one of the most representative poetic figures of the 20th century.
The Cantata is the composer’s only autobiographical composition. It is based on his own poems and covers the most important moments in the history of modern Greece, the Great War and the Liberation.
