BEETHOVEN 2020

Formed as late as 2012, they studied with the Ysaÿe string quartet, and already have achieved world-class status. With First Prize at the 2015 Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition, and being ECHO Rising Stars for the 2017–2018 season, and BBC New Generation Artists for this year, the Van Kuijk Quartet appear at major international venues in Europe, North America, the Far East, and Australia. Despite their huge success, they are still studying under members of the Alban Berg, Artemis, and Hagen quartets, thanks to the support of the Paris ProQuartet association.
A rare opportunity to hear first-class interpretations of Beethoven’s third Razumovsky Quartet, the fourth out of Bartók’s six string quartets, and the impressive Quartettstudie by top contemporary German composer Wolfgang Rihm.
