Spinalonga – Summer 2012
Kostas Tsoclis – You, the last leper

Overview
MEGARON PLUS
This summer Kostas Tsoclis created a large installation which extended across a whole island – the famous leper island of Spinalonga. A historic location, with traces still visible of the Venetian fortifications and the small, enclosed Turkish quarter – features which still seem to whisper of the tragic fate of the colony of lepers exiled here for fifty years.
A video will be screened at the Concert Hall, showing the installation, and speakers will include the artist himself, the curators Katerina Koskina and Cora Bruno, as well as the collector and main supporter of the whole project Nikos Finokaliotis. The event will be coordinated by art critic Efi Andreadi.
