What is the utility of the sense of hearing, and how did it develop? How do fleas hear? Can a cell of the cochlea dance to rock ’n’ roll music? Do we hear with our ears or with our brain? Why do we like listening to loud music? Decibels: less is more. Rock or symphony orchestra: which musicians are more vulnerable? Is there such as thing as a hidden hearing impairment? Can the cochlea cells be regenerated? How can we protect our hearing?
The Medical Team for Musicians of the First Otolaryngological Clinic, Faculty of Medicine, University of Athens, share their experiences in an interactive two-hour lecture.
