A true phenomenon of the operatic stage over the past decade, Lithuanian soprano Asmik Grigorian possesses a voice described as “wild, yet at once rich and dark” (Le Monde). With it, she has already conquered the world’s most prestigious opera houses, from the Vienna State Opera and Teatro Real in Madrid to La Scala in Milan and the Metropolitan Opera in New York and will now perform for the first time in Greece.
Together with her compatriot, pianist Lukas Geniušas—winner of prizes at the Warsaw Chopin Competition and the Moscow Tchaikovsky Competition—they turn their focus to Russian Romantic song for voice and piano: masterpieces by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff, brought to life by two artists of rare expressiveness, virtuosity, and overwhelming stage presence.
With Greek surtitles.
