On Saturday, May 17, the Bobos Arts Festival returns to the Garden, with an exciting program full of performances and creative activities!
A rich lineup of curated music and theater performances, specially designed workshops, roaming acts, and a wide array of imaginative experiences awaits children and adults alike in the beautiful garden of the Megaron.
This year’s theme focuses on the role of play in the arts, highlighting the importance of playful learning in the holistic development of children. Through artistic play, children become familiar with the arts, while nurturing their imagination and creative thinking.
Put on your hats, bring your picnic blankets, and come spend a magical day full of art, imagination, and play in nature!
MAIN STAGE
“Room Songs”: Award-winning musician and author Dimitris Baslam presents a vibrant new musical performance, where beloved fairytale characters come to life and sing along with the children.
“A Thousand Reasons to Argue”: A unique music-theatre performance by the Tik Tak Do theatre group, exploring the recognition of emotions and the value of embracing them all.
“A Dot… is Only the Beginning”: A musical-theatrical performance by the group Oneirodrama, encouraging children to overcome the fear of failure and discover the joy of creation. “Make something… even just a dot… and see where it leads.” A dot doesn’t always signify an end—it can mark a beginning.
“Kids Rock”: A high-energy rock concert by a unique band made up of talented young musicians aged 6 to 12! Beloved rock songs by The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Doors, and more come to life through the fresh perspective of the students from the “Mousiki Praxi” Conservatory.
“Little Comedians – Kids Open Mic”, hosted by the one and only Lambros Fisfis: Children take to the stage and become stand-up comedians, sharing their own jokes in a fun, interactive comedy session.
“New Orleans Hot Jazz Band”: Roaming musicians fill the garden with the upbeat rhythms of jazz and swing, getting everyone moving. Follow the music and enjoy a journey through sound and nature.
“Bubble Show”: A magical roaming bubble performance by the whimsical Kokoika.
