A musical “gourmet” adventure
with Maria Vlachopoulou and Stelios Parliaros
The American composer Lee Hoiby was inspired to write the twenty-minute one-act opera titled “Bon appétit!” by the famous television star Julia Child (1912 – 2004), one of the first TV chefs and now an American cultural icon. The opera is an entertaining “cooking” comedy full of voices, children’s witticisms and beloved musical themes.
