Two lyric singers at the height of their powers, soprano Nadine Sierra and tenor Benzaman Bernayme, star in an operatic adaptation of the Shakespearean drama with Yannick Nezier-Séguin conducting one of the most romantic scores in the repertoire. The cast is completed by baritone Will Lieberman and tenor Frederick Ballendine, playing Mercutio and Tybalt respectively, mezzo-soprano Samantha Henky as Stephen and bass-baritone Alfred Walker as Father Laurentius. Bartlett Cher (2008 Tony Award for Directing) signs the direction, combining stunning sets and costumes that evoke the atmosphere of 18th century Italy.
