Mozart’s satirical opera about fickle young love is presented in a new, imaginative version by Phelim McDermott. The plot is transposed to a seaside funfair reminiscent of the historic Coney Island entertainment district. There, the story’s two young couples find themselves at the centre of thrilling challenges revolving around fidelity, among other things. A contemporary take on a classic work, with the lead roles performed by outstanding soloists.
