Kostis Ailianos served the Organisation from 2016, first as a member and later as Vice-President of the Board of Directors. His relationship with Megaron was deep and meaningful: he loved it, cared about its progress, and believed in its mission as a living place of music and culture. Following a long diplomatic career as Greece’s ambassador and as Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, he made a real contribution to the work of Megaron the Athens Concert Hall through his erudition, his musical education and his integrity.
His presence will be missed. We will remember him with respect and gratitude.
