It’s been ten years since siblings Lydia and Konstantinos Boudounis decided to bring their string instruments together and form String Demons, a band truly unique in its genre. Rooted in their “orthodox” classical training but determined to carve out their own paths of interpretation, deconstruction, and composition, they’ve given over 1,500 performances in Greece and abroad, released five full albums and numerous singles, all while staying true to their musical pillars: classical, metal, and traditional music. With stage direction by Ilias Karellas and special guest appearance by the Camerata Junior Symphony Orchestra of the “Friends of Music”, the String Demons present an unexpected musical palimpsest: powerful soundtracks, atmospheric soundscapes, rhythmic twists, colorful melodies, and electrifying lyrics. From metal and rebetiko to Greek folk and rap influences, their wide-ranging repertoire stretches impressively: from Vivaldi and Handel, to Akis Panou, Iron Maiden, and Lady Gaga!
