V for Victory: Music in World War II
The Friends of Music Society and the Lillian Voudouri Music Library present this exhibition as part of the celebration marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
Its goal is to highlight how music served as a means of expression, resistance, and collective memory during that time, through musical works composed by both Greek and international creators during and after the war. Manuscript and printed scores are displayed in dialogue with books, photographs, newspaper clippings, personal items, letters, concert programs, magazines, and audiovisual material. The content comes from the exceptionally rich collections of the Library and is presented in the Reception Area of the Music Library.
