Megaron the Athens Concert Hall presents a study on Antigone, directed by Giorgos Koutlis, with the participation of students of the fourth year of the Drama School of the Athens Conservatory. At the heart of the play is the constant conflict between state power and the free will of the individual. State dictates not only set the rules for the proper functioning of society, they also shape consciences to a large extent. Antigone, however, refuses to submit to the rigid reason of authority, choosing her own truth, even if it means conflict with the logic of the law. A performance that highlights the profound contradiction of all authority: while seemingly absolute, it carries within it the possibility of being challenged, where resistance is not just an act of disobedience, but a search for another justice.
