After last year’s double sold out concert, Nikos Portokaloglou returns to the Athens Concert Hall (Alexandra Trianti Hall) with a new bold proposal.
A new look at his songs that are loved by everyone and a new chance at some lesser known songs that are worth discovering, will be the material of the two concerts of the leading singer-songwriter on Friday 31 January and Saturday 1 February 2025.
A different, mixed sound that we are not used to in his 40-year career and four excellent performers who stood out from his TV show, “Music Box” are the new proposal of the always restless and creative, Nikos Portokaloglou.
The new episode in a long journey characterized by “the joy of the road”.
The meeting of east and west, tradition and modern currents, which has always been the musical identity of the creator, here takes flesh and blood with his electric band, the “Noble Alites”, the string quartet “Echo” and a quartet of great traditional soloists. The ensemble is completed by the vocal ensemble of Natalia Labadakis. In addition to him and his constant collaborator, Byron Tsouropis, his songs will be performed by his four special guests representing different generations and musical idioms: Adriana Achitzanova, Thodoris Kotonias, Maria Papageorgiou and Kostas Tzimas from Epirus.
