Born in Skopje, Simon Trpčeski is undoubtedly the most prominent ambassador of his country on the international musical scene. His collaborations across the Atlantic with the New York and San Francisco Philharmonics, and with the Chicago and Boston Symphony Orchestras, speak for themselves. Equally eloquent are his partnerships in Europe with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, the London Philharmonic and London Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestre National de France, among many others.

For his appearance at Megaron, he joins forces with the brilliant violinist and composer Simos Papanas, concertmaster of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra and, in recent years, its successful artistic director. A multifaceted musician and long-time collaborator of the renowned Daniel Hope — with whom he has performed widely across the globe — Papanas moves with ease between the repertoire of the 19th and 20th centuries and the musical literature of the Baroque and pre-Classical eras, performing either on a modern instrument or on his Baroque violin.

Their collaboration promises interpretations of remarkable depth and character — whether in the classical purity of Mozart or the mature Romanticism of Brahms and Franck.
