The Roman theatre of the ancient city of Milos—though only partially excavated and with much of it still lying buried beneath fill and dry-stone walls—remains one of the best-preserved ancient theatres in the Cyclades. The excavated section was conserved and restored between 2010 and 2015, once again becoming a notable landmark, a point of reference, and a vibrant part of the island’s cultural life.

During the event, a short theatrical reading will take place:
a reading of the Melian Dialogue between the Melians and the Athenians from Book V of Thucydides.
The reading will be performed by Nikos Orfanos and Dimitris Kalantzis.
