An iconic voice of Greek popular song, she collaborated with leading composers of the genre such as Kostas Giannidis and Michalis Souyioul, performing timeless hits including In the Morning You Wake Me with Kisses, How Sorry I Am, Na Me Pairan’ ta Synnefa, Little Fishing Boat, Leave This Old World, and many more.
Her greatest artistic breakthrough came in the 1940s, with the outbreak of war. With songs such as Children of Greece, Children, Take Courage, My Greece, and The War Separates Us, and with her presence at the Front, she inspired the Greek troops and was forever immortalized in collective memory as the “singer of victory.”
