Authors, Books, Ideas
A collaboration between the Hellenic Foundation for Book and Culture (HFBC) and the Megaron – Athens Concert Hall, within the Megaron Plus program.

With his novel Perfection (Loggia Editions, Greek translation by Dimitra Dotsi), shortlisted for the 2025 Booker Prize, the Italian author Vincenzo Latronico explores the world of millennials. His characters—who could just as well be Greek, as they carry the essence of Southern Europe—constantly seek the perfect way of life, akin to the flawless images on Instagram. Will they find it? Or is this ideal lifestyle merely a chimera? Could it lead to some form of redemption?

Vincenzo Latronico will discuss the novel with Nikos Bakounakis, President of the Hellenic Foundation for Book and Culture (HFBC), addressing topics such as literature in the age of social media, literary characters shaped by the Internet generations, authenticity, radicalization, and neoconservatism.
