Opening Ceremony of the 11th Athens World Poetry Festival
Poets from Greece and around the world come together with readings at this annual celebration of poetry. Marking the centenary of Mikis Theodorakis’ birth, the Festival pays tribute to the composer who honored poets, with excerpts from Stylistic Variations on “The Hidden Shore”, a composition by Christos Papageorgiou, performed by the composer himself on piano.
