Animegaron 2025-26: Dimitris Kontos – (Greece)

Dimitris Kontos was born in Athens, Greece. He started playing the guitar at the age of 12, while he started studying at the conservatory at 18 years old. He got his Diploma in classical guitar with grade “excellent” from the Attica Conservatory (1998). He is a graduate student at Ionian University, Department of Music Studies. He teaches guitar at the National Conservatory of Nea Smyrni (Athens, Greece), and also giving private lessons. He composes music mostly for the guitar. He has been a permanent member (baritone) of the mixed choral ensemble “Fons Musicalis”. His recent discrimination is “How Beautiful Music is”, for voices & orchestra, awarded with cash prize (Musical Creativity Competition, Department of Music Studies, Ionian University, 2024, Corfu).
