Animegaron 2025-26: Eleni Exarchou Second Prize – (Greece)

Eleni Exarchou is a composer, pianist, and orchestrator, a graduate of the Department of Music Studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and an IKY (State Scholarships Foundation) scholarship recipient. She holds a Piano Diploma with highest honors and unanimous distinction from the Neo Odeion of Thessaloniki, as well as diplomas in advanced music theory from the Thessaloniki State Conservatory, and has studied composition with Theodoros Antoniou and Leontios Hatzileontiadis. She has been repeatedly recognized in the field of music composition for film and animation. In 2018, she received the Second Prize at the Athens Concert Hall’s International Composition Competition for the film “El Empleo”; in 2019, the First Honorable Mention for her score for Alicja Jasina’s film “Once Upon a Line”; and in 2023, she was awarded the Third Prize for her music for the film “Elevator Alone” at the Athens Concert Hall’s international Animegaron competition. That same year, she won First Prize at the 2nd International Tango Music Composition Competition of the Cosmopolis Festival. She currently serves as a piano teacher at the Music School of Larissa, where she organizes music composition workshops and concerts featuring students’ works, encouraging their creativity and musical expression. She has composed works for solo instruments, voice, instrumental ensembles, short films, and theatrical productions, continually striving to develop her personal musical style. In recent years, she has focused systematically on music for audiovisual productions, cultivating creative collaborations in the fields of film, animation, and the performing arts.
