Animegaron 2025-26: Anastasia Souka-Simou Third Prize – (Greece)
Anastasia Souka-Simou was born in Athens. She studied Piano and Advanced Music Theory at the Petroupoli Municipal Conservatory and holds a Diploma in Composition, graded “Excellent” by unanimous decision, from the Glyfada Municipal Conservatory, under the supervision of Dimitris Sykias; she has also studied composition with George Hatzimichelakis. She is a graduate of the Department of Primary Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and of the MA programme “Musical Arts” at the University of Macedonia, and is currently a PhD candidate in Music Education at the Faculty of Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). Her works have been presented at festivals such as Homelands (Philharmonie Berlin) and New Music Days (Greek National Opera), as well as at venues such as the Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Petroupoli.
