Animegaron 2025-26: Aliak Bedirian Second Distinction – (England)

Aliak is a composer, musician, and singer with a decade of experience across music production, composition and performance. She holds a BA in Music from the University of Bristol. Drawing on influences from classical, electronic and rock, among others, she brings a versatile approach to storytelling through sound. Her composition credits include the short I Am Frida Kahlo, which won Best Experimental at the FIFF London Film Festival 2020 and was screened internationally, as well as the short 2000 Words. Beyond film work, Aliak is an award-winning arranger, receiving an Outstanding Arrangement award at the 2016 UK ICCA (International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella), where she now serves as a judge. She continues creating music, solo and collaborative, across disciplines.
