1922

Overview
As painful as the destruction of Asia Minor’s Greek community was one century ago, the treasures of its traditions will live on forever in our collective national memory. Besides, it was these inexhaustible Greek that inspired outstanding symphonic works by important Greek composers, including Manolis Kalomoiris (who was born in Smyrna), Petros Petridis, Konstantinos Kydoniatis, and our contemporary prolific composer Dimitris Marangopoulos. Maestro Miltos Logiadis takes the ASO and its audience on a fascinating musical journey to the boundary where the traditional and the scholarly meet the national and the personal.
