Overview

Music rarely evolves in a straight line; its perpetual movement is not limited to stereotypical forms and harmonies but constantly seeks new ways of expression. In the maelstrom of such a search, the Quartet led by Alexandros Drakos Ktistakis presents a particularly interesting programme, combining original compositions and songs from the albums Tora and Cycles along with new, unreleased material. The Quartet teams up with the exceptional performer Katerina Polemi and together they explore the relationship of jazz with Greek folk music and with pop-rock and classical music, composing a sound universe vibrating with images and impulses.
