In 2019, the legendary Grigory Sokolov introduced the then 11-year-old Russian pianist with the following words: ‘…Alexandra Dovgan cannot be considered a child prodigy, because as much as she is a prodigy, her playing is not childlike’. Today, with a sound of inconceivable beauty and enviable virtuosity, Dovgan is a major player on the musical scene, stirring up storms of enthusiasm in the world’s great halls. Thanks to her rare musicality and imagination, she excels in every performance, whether playing with leading orchestras or in solo recitals. At the Megaron, she unleashes her gifts by performing grand piano works such as Beethoven’s, Schumann’s and Scriabin’s sonatas.
