The Athens State Orchestra is happy to present Philippos Tsalahouris’ new symphonic work, a tribute to great philhellene Lord Byron. Our fine oboist Yannis Economou plays the solo part in Richard Strauss’ sensuous Concerto, a lyrical, mature tour de force. The concert, under the baton of veteran conductor Loukas Karytinos, will come to a triumphant close with a classical
masterpiece: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4.
