GREAT ORCHESTRAS – GREAT CONDUCTORS

Perhaps no other orchestra has such close ties to its conductor as the Budapest Festival Orchestra has to Iván Fischer (its co-founder with Zoltán Kocsis), who has held the position of its Musical Director for over 30 years, shaping the orchestra’s profile and establishing the Budapest Festival Orchestra as one of the most important symphonic ensembles in the world.
