Camerata Junior The Friends of Music Youth Orchestra

Overview
Camerata Junior – The Friends of Music Youth Orchestra and orchestra in residence of Megaron, is dynamically present in musical orchestral education for twelve years now. Recently, it was transformed from a string orchestra to a symphony one, adding to its composition a wind section and gradually expanding its capabilities together with its repertoire. Today’s concert opens a new page in its history. In its new composition as a symphony orchestra, Camerata Junior presents two masterpieces of the musical literature, written by the great Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: the ever-popular Symphony No. 40 and the celebrated Concerto for clarinet in A major, the composer’s last orchestral work. For the soloist’s part, the Orchestra is joined by the internationally renowned clarinettist Spyros Mourikis.
