Megaron the Athens Concert Hall welcomes one of the finest Greek artists, the conductor Constantinos Carydis . From the Vienna State Opera to the podium of the Berlin Philharmonic, wherever he conducts, Constantinos Carydis is distinguished for his rare musical qualities, his deep insight into the essence of the works, his imagination and his sparkling technique. It is no coincidence that he conducts the renowned Chamber Orchestra of Europe, which consists of select musicians and has collaborated with great conductors and soloists in concerts and award-winning recordings since its foundation in 1981. In addition to works from the repertoire, such as Beethoven’s masterful Fourth Symphony, Carydis includes – in his honour – works by great Greek composers in the concert programme, which we will have the pleasure of enjoying from his own unique interpretive perspective.
