Overview

During the festive season, we often seek to reconnect with values which we sometimes lose sight of, amid the pedantic iteration of our daily routine: the sense of belonging to a community, the uplift of the soul, spirituality. This Christmas, the Athens State Orchestra interprets the “Parthenon” of the symphonic repertoire, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, singing for its audience the majestic “Ode to Joy”, so topical these days, under the baton of internationally renowned Estonian conductor Mihkel Kütson.
