Church Organ Recital With Ourania Gassiou
Overview
Ourania Gassiou in a festive recital featuring great works of the German and French church organ schools, ranging from Dietrich Buxtehude and Johann Sebastian Bach to Max Reger, and from Camille Saint-Saëns and César Franck to Marcel Dupré.
In the spirit of the season, the Greek organist performs religious compositions (Lutheran choral preludes and excerpts from a Roman Catholic mass), anniversary works (Die heiligen drei Könige by Danish composer Otto Malling) as well as pastorales (pastoral compositions alluding to the shepherds who were the first to pay homage to the Holy Infant).
