Concert by the Winners of the 2018 Princess Christina Competition

Overview
The Trio Diotima, winners for 2018 in the ages 14-19 category of the Netherlands’ prestigious music competition, make their Greek debut at the Dimitri Mitropoulos Hall with a soloist and chamber music repertoire. A night of romantic music, with pianist Mischa van Tijn playing Brahms’ famous Variations on a Theme of Paganini based on his Capriccio for Violin No. 24; having received an accompaniment award, he collaborates with violinist Tim de Vries and fifteen-year-old cellist Emma van Schadewijk in soloist works by Bruch, Chausson, and Fauré. The concert closes with all three young musicians onstage for Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1.
