Overview

The music of prominent composer Elias Andriopoulos has been serving the great Greek poetry for decades, uniquely highlighting the words of our poets – sometimes fiery and at others sensitive. Theodora Baka and Tassis Christoyannis, two consummate lyrical artists with the ability to bring out the particular characteristics of the works that they perform, take us on a tour of well-known and new melodies by Elias Andriopoulos, with pianist Thodoris Economou as their companion. The works featured in tonight’s concert are presented for the first time in the form of a suite for voice and piano.
