From Norway’s jazz scene to the forefront of the international jazz community, the Espen Berg Trio, established in 2014, has a spectacular track record as one of the most important jazz trios of our time. Its striking musical style, influenced by leading musicians of the genre, such as Brad Meldhau, Keith Jarrett or Tigran Hamasyan, carries on the legacy of the classic piano trio. The award-winning Norwegian ensemble presents a program rich in bold melodic rotations and imaginative polyrhythms. Each one of their performances is a delightful dialogue that follows the rules and freedoms of jazz, between three musicians breathing as one and impressing their audience with their consummate virtuosity.
