The distinguished chamber orchestra Festival Strings Lucerne is renowned for its dedication to preserving the noble brilliance and warm sonority of the Austro-Hungarian tradition. When it joins forces with the acclaimed Augustin Hadelich, performing on the celebrated 1744 Guarneri del Gesù violin “Leduc/Szeryng”, the result can only be electrifying.

Hadelich performs Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, which opens with one of the most enchanting melodies in the instrument’s Romantic repertoire. The concerto is framed by Elgar’s tender, nostalgic Serenade, the work that established him internationally, and by the radiant yet exquisitely refined elegance of Mozart’s Symphony No. 41, the so-called “Jupiter.”
