Full Moon by Christoforos Christofis

Overview
The action takes place in Paris in the 1970s, during the era of political emigrants and of intense political and economic turmoil throughout the Americas and Europe. The play is inspired by the life of Lila De Nobili, the legendary theatre and costume designer whose collaborations with great directors such as Luchino Visconti and Franco Zeffirelli made history. The writer –a student and model of De Nobili himself– wanted to capture the memories from the years of his youth, when –still a student in Paris– he had met the great artist. However, considering the period of the Colonels’ dictatorship in Greece to be more important in terms of dramatic context, he brought the play’s events and characters forward by ten years. The play is underpinned by a current of political thinking and passion, with hints of eroticism and existential sensuality conveying the tone of the era.
THE PLAY IS SUITABLE FOR ADULTS OVER 15 YEARS OLD.
