Gautier Capuçon, cello, Jérôme Ducros piano

Overview
At a time when the programmes of recitals are typically structured around inspired works on a grand scale, it is rather rare to enjoy musical miniatures whose virtuosic challenges or melodicism never cease to fascinate. It is exactly this joy that Gautier Capuçon, one of the most prominent cellists of his generation worldwide, will offer to the Athenian audience, together with the equally consummate pianist Jerôme Ducros, who will join him on Megaron’s stage. Alongside the magnificent sonatas by Debussy and Brahms, the two French virtuosos will perform with their unique blend of creativity and lyricism, a number of transcriptions of famous pages from the international classical repertoire.
M Café will be open for brunch after the recital.
