Gioachino Rossini: Il barbiere di Siviglia

Overview
Opera buffa in concertante performance (with Greek surtitles)
Rossini’s famous opera The Barber of Seville needs no introduction. With its spirit and musical quality, it is perhaps the most popular comic opera of all time. After its triumphant premiere in 2018, highly acclaimed by the Athenian press, the Camerata Musicians repeat Rossini’s masterpiece with a world-class cast under the baton of George Petrou, internationally celebrated for his Rossini renderings. A surprise concertante performance, featuring the Greek premiere of Count Almaviva’s famous aria ‘Cessa di più resistere’, which is omitted from most productions due to its proverbial difficulty.
