Leonidas Kavakos, one of the world’s most iconic violinists, is renowned both for his electrifying performances and for his unwavering dedication to mentoring and supporting young musicians. His presence on stage is a source of inspiration and knowledge for future generations.
Together with the dynamically rising cellist Timotheos Gavriilidis-Petrin, who has an extensive international concert career, they appear as soloists with the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra under its charismatic founder and conductor Dionysis Grammenos, in the celebrated Double Concerto by Johannes Brahms.
The programme is completed with one of the most popular works of the Czech composer Antonín Dvořák: the Symphony “From the New World”, a landmark of the Romantic repertoire and a perfect showcase for the talent and artistry of these outstanding Greek musicians.
