We would like to inform you that the Athens State Orchestra concert on Friday, March 3 is moved to Saturday, March 4 at 5:00 p.m.
How the most important musical creation of human civilization is nothing more than the processing on a gigantic scale of the folk music that is present everywhere and that we all love and understand. The historical evolution of the plain song, from its birth to reaching adulthood in the form of the classical symphonic work. A series of interactive concerts that seek to shed light on what connects contemporary listeners with the timeless symphonic music, bringing it closer to both newcomers to the form and music lovers who are already fans. Videos, speeches and music are combined to interactively portray various individual symphonic music genres. Well-known and obscure historical facts, personal stories, hidden symbolisms and motifs, as well as the magic of the works’ structure, are presented in an entertaining way.
