Sergei Rachmaninoff, the virtuoso. A world-class pianist, he followed in the footsteps of great pianist-composers: like Chopin, he composed Études and Preludes, like Schubert he composed Moments Musicaux.

A kaleidoscopic presentation of the composer through selected miniature works: études-tableaux, and compositions with a wider artistic intention. In the preludes and the musical moments, innermost feelings and confessions. Romantic heroism, tenderness, and stormy, desperate emotions. Sounds of breathtaking beauty. Phrases that hold us spellbound.
– Sergei Rachmaninoff: Études-tableaux: Op. 39, No. 1; Op. 39, No. 2;
                                   Op. 39, No. 3; Op. 33 No. 7; Op. 39, No. 6
                                   Élégie: Op. 3, No. 1
                                   Moments musicaux: Op. 16, No. 2; Op. 16, No. 3;
                                   Op. 16, No. 4
                                   Préludes: Op. 32, No. 6; Op. 23, No. 1; Op. 32, No. 12;
                                   Op. 23, No. 6; Op. 23, No. 7; Op. 23, No. 10;
