The three celebrated engravings by Albrecht Dürer — Knight, Death and the Devil, Melencolia I and Saint Jerome in His Study — are enveloped by the atmospheric sounds of the Polis Ensemble, interwoven with the concise yet profound texts of Theofanis Ioannou.

This musical performance offers a multifaceted exploration of the human journey through three stages: the moral quest for the common good; science, which reveals the dramatic tension between knowledge and ignorance and the fragile relationship of modern humanity with nature; and finally, the stage of deeper faith, which brings serenity and harmony.

Eastern instruments (ney, lyra, kanun, oud, politiko laouto), together with percussion and double bass, combine with video projections and narration to create a space where Eastern and Western art and philosophy engage in dialogue within a constantly changing world.
