Seong-Jin Cho
Overview
Seong-Jin Cho’s distinction in 2015 at the Warsaw International Chopin Piano Competition –the most important piano competition in the world– marked the beginning of a brilliant career, with appearances in the largest halls and collaborations with the world’s greatest orchestras. Since then, the South Korean pianist has established himself as one of the leading virtuosos of his generation and a musician with a vast palette of expressive means, enabling him to serve a wide repertoire with equal success. Following his recent appearance at Megaron which received rave reviews, he returns for a highly demanding solo recital that is dominated by two benchmark works of the piano repertoire: Ravel’s imposing Mirroirs and Liszt’s explosive Dante Fantasia.
