She has won the “Ella Fitzgerald” Award of the Montreal International Jazz Festival and, of course, the love of audiences worldwide for her multilingual repertoire of well-known jazz standards, chansons, bossa nova, and new creations.
Stacey Kent’s career is marked by gold and platinum albums and top positions in the jazz music charts, while also including remarkable collaborations with Brazilian music legends Marcos Valle, Roberto Menescal, and Danilo Caymmi, the French string quartet Quatuor Ébène, as well as Nobel laureate Kazuo Ishiguro.
Together with pianist Art Hirahara and saxophonist, composer, and husband Jim Tomlinson, she presents songs from the albums A Time for Love (new release), Songs From Other Places, and of course Summer Me, Winter Me, which topped the charts, featuring original compositions and interpretations of chansons such as Jacques Brel’s iconic “Ne me quitte pas.”
