A “guitar orchestra” meets four children’s and youth choirs on stage, in a large-scale collaboration. The talent and youthful energy of the Greek guitarists literally fill every inch of the stage, creating an impressive sonic and visual result. The concert continues the historic performances established since 1984 by Vangelis Boudounis. The programme features a wide-ranging repertoire spanning from Pachelbel to Astor Piazzolla, and from film music—such as Nino Rota’s The Godfather and Amélie—to traditional songs and beloved melodies by Mikis Theodorakis and other Greek composers. The evening’s special guests are the String Demons.
