During the French Revolution, Jeanne and her brother Jérôme leave Marseilles for Paris, in order to join the revolutionary mob. In the midst of the struggle for freedom, the brother and sister fall in love.
An impressive revival by Alexei Ratmansky of Vasily Vainonen’s classic ballet premiered in 1932. A truly lavish production by the Bolshoi Ballet.
