Overview
New production
The Athens Concert Hall and the Elias Karellas Shadow Theatre Company celebrate ten years of performances of the most beloved hero of children and adults alike… with music!
The well-known shadow figure player Elias Karellas travels again with Karagiozis – this time, to Paris. Christmas is approaching and the great Pasha has hired a famous French chef to prepare the festive banquet. Tradition dictates a Christmas turkey. But to everyone’s surprise, the turkeys have run away! Why are all the turkey pens empty? What has happened? The French chef travels to Paris to solve the mystery. How will Karagiozis and his friends end up in the City of Light? Who is the mysterious female French turkey-artist whose singing stirs the crowds to action`? Will Karagiozis be able to remove the turkeys from the Christmas menu once and for all? Greek tradition meets French culture in a brand new vegan, Christmas comedy full of humour and action. Let’s dance – from Karagiozis’ famous hassaposérviko to the legendary French valses musettes! Children from 4 to 104 years old are welcome to the performance.
