A special musical evening where the magic of cinema meets the spirit of Christmas. Soprano Gina Fotinopoulou and baritone Theodore Lanaras, accompanied by the Miniature Symphony Orchestra under the musical direction of Andreas Boutsikakis, bring to life beloved film melodies, timeless international favourites and iconic Christmas classics.
The evening features a special guest appearance by internationally acclaimed Spanish singer Luz Casal, one of the most distinguished voices on the European music scene, whose songs have become inextricably linked with some of cinema’s most memorable moments.
From the glamour of old Hollywood and the melodies that accompanied some of the silver screen’s most unforgettable scenes, to songs that capture the joy and warmth of Christmas, the programme weaves together music, memories and the evocative power of the moving image.
The concert is held in support of AURORA – Together Against Haematological Diseases, a non-profit organisation that has stood alongside patients with haematological diseases and their families since 2018.
Bringing together music, cinema and the spirit of Christmas for an important cause, proceeds from the concert will contribute to the expansion of the Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Unit at ATTIKON University General Hospital. The project aims to significantly increase the Unit’s capacity, enabling more transplants to be performed, reducing waiting times and giving more patients access to this vital treatment.
